1. Create a free ChatGPT account, if you want to save your chat threads. Otherwise, just start using ChatGPT on the web.

2. Use the conversational prompting approach. Ask it a question that you would ask to your teaching assistant.

1. Create a free teacher's account in Canva, if you do not already have one.

2. Click on Magic Studio from the left-hand menu. Watch the video and read about the different tools.

1. Think of a current lesson, activity, or assignment that you use with students. Find a Magic School tool that can help you with one or more aspects of this lesson/activity/assignment.

2. Use the tool to generate an output.

1. Try the "Change Level" tool on an online news article.

2. Choose one of the "Create" tools on a YouTube video.

3. Try the "Inspect Writing" tool on a Google Doc.

1. Try the structured prompting approach using Dan Fitzpatrick's PREPARE model.

2. Write your own prompt following the PREPARE model. Try the prompt with ChatGPT.

1. Start a new design and open the Magic Media tool (click on Apps from the design menu and search for Magic Media).

2. Experiment with the text-to-image Magic Media tool by using different prompts and styles.

1. Start a new chat with Raina.

2. Use Raina to plan an upcoming lesson or unit.

3. Ask Raina follow-up questions and upload an attachment (PDF, image, or Word doc) to fine-tune Raina's responses.

1. Use Brisk to help you create multiple learning materials (such as a leveled/translated text, a quiz, a presentation) for an upcoming lesson.

2. After generating a learning material, experiment with the "rewrite" and "add-on" options.

1. Use ChatGPT as your prompt engineering coach. Copy and paste the following prompt into ChatGPT:

   
   

   You are my prompt-writing coach. Your goal is to help me craft the best possible prompt for my needs. The prompt will be used by you, ChatGPT. This is the process you will follow:

   1. Your first response will be to ask me what the prompt should be about. I will provide my answer, but we will need to improve it through continual iterations by going through the next steps.

   2. Based on my input, you will generate two sections. a) Revised prompt (provide your rewritten prompt. It should be clear, concise and easily understood by you), b) Questions (ask any relevant questions pertaining to what additional information is needed from me to improve the prompt).

   3. We will continue this iteration process with me providing additional information to you and you updating the prompt in the Revised prompt section until I say we are done.

2. Use this method until you arrive at the best possible prompt for your task. Let ChatGPT generate an output based on this prompt.
