the switch on the top of the camera, chasing it to "S"   
     I saw the photographs change in brightness. When the shutter speed was faster the picture seemed darker. The slow shutter speed made the background brighter. Another change in the photograph was the focus. In the first photo which is slower, the photo seemed out of focus. As the shutter speed got faster the photographs were in more focus.
     Shutter speed is a priority when trying to take pictures of moving objects. Using fast shutter speed when wanting to keep the object in focus and the background blurry.
