It was a grey, cloudy, Saturday evening and he was lying on the sofá thinking how he could spend  the rest of the day. He was not really in the mood for anything but thought he could make a couple of calls or meet some of his friends at any of the places he knew they would be. Yes, that sounded good enough.

Or… who cares about going out when you can spend a great evening with friends at home,
wrapped in your warm gown and slippers and munching and chewing carelessly
because nobody can see you. Wow! That sounded even better. He would go and find
out who was already logged in.

But first, he realized he needed to do some shopping: crisps, olives, some chocolate, beer and such because it is not a sin to indulge oneself just once, isn´t it? And everyone knows that salt demands some sugar afterwards… Well, some marshmallows and jellies would make the evening menu outstanding, so he put on his jeans and his worn out hoodie and went to the market round the corner.

He hadn´t reached the corner yet when he saw the most beautiful creature he had ever seen
in his life! It was not the first time he had seen her, he thought her the most
beautiful, unreachable woman since he first saw her. She was one of his
neighbours, a sturdy brunette who lived two floors above him. She always
welcomed him with an open smile when they met in the building hall, or waited
for the lift. Gosh! He swallowed and made up his mind.

He wantedto start a conversation with her, but about what? “I can´t think properly” he
said to himself “and why on earth did I choose this rotten hoodie today? It
should be in the washing mashine instead. And I stink.” Then, in an eyeblink,
he poked his nose under his armpit and received an offensive blow, roar-of-the
–tiger sort of. Well, let´s leave it for another day, then. And surely she
wouldn´t be interested anyway. He felt miserable and crossed.

“Ryan?
That´s your name, no? I am so happy to meet you here and now!” Well, he was
Ryan and the beautiful brunette knew his name! He must look really stupid, his
mouth open in startle. “Y-y-yes?” Oh, the lovely smile, so friendly, the
almond-shaped chestnut eyes, she was even prettier at a close distance. “See, I
have got two VIP passes for a concert tonight and I was wondering if you could
come with me. I would really like you came with me, Ryan.”  And there he was, standing in front of the
woman he liked so much not knowing what to say…
