I think that an experience that I've had is back in high school, I don't think the teacher really meant to do this, but things had arrived for the band room and he asked if guys could help him bring in the boxes, it in my head I was kind of like, why only guys? Is the teacher assuming the girls can't carry heavy things? I know it isn't something big, but it did bother me.

When I worked at Gold Cross as a dispatcher, the EMT's and Paramedics, if given a bad 911 call or a transfer out of the county, they would immediately ask if we were on our period or just state that their girls, they dont know anything anyway. We had two male dispatchers and they were never questioned but the rest of us were immediately targeted.

I have witnessed a situation where a woman was overly hostile to all the men in the group. The specific man in question was extremely respectful and got the same answer as the other women in the group, but when he presented his answer, the woman just got so aggressive and started questioning about his thought process and why he thinks that makes sense, when she didn't even ask the women.

Sometimes I experienced discrimination for being a woman in my family. Like in the past, I noticed that my brother sometimes got to have more freedom of choices and more privileges. My family had some "machistas" beliefs but fortunately this has changed over time in my family.
