It is because AIS composed three major subsystems: (1) the transaction system (TPS), which supports daily business operation with numerous reports and documents; (2) the general ledger/financial reporting system (GL/FRS), which produce report such as statement of profit or loss, statement of cash flows and also statement of financial position; and (3) the management reporting system (MRS), which provides information to internal management for decision making. By using AIS, an accountant can create their own financial documentation techniques to make the presentation of data look more interesting to read. It because experience shows that visual images convey vital system information effectively and efficiently that word. So as an accountant, the ability to document system in graphics form is an important skill to master. In AIS also has data coding scheme which involves simple numeric or alphabetic codes to represent complex economics phenomena that facilitate efficient data processing.
