The methodology, I am going to use in my class is: the differenciated approach because  using diferent activities I will be able to motivate students to use the English in an oral way. Furthermore this method benefits a wide range of students, from those with learning disabilities to those who are considered high ability. Moreover during the whole classes we are going to work with activities such as: autonomous work, groups activities, peer feedback, ask questions, listening exercises, writing exercises, watching videos.

At the end students will participate in the English Song Festival and make a project about Recycling in the school for taking care te environment, taking intoaccount what they learn during the school year.

There is a need for students to be motivated to learn English through environments that provide them with real oppotunities to use the second language for life. In that way, our objective is to increase motivation, interaction and knowledge building with students through a learning environment based on their interests: learning environment on games.
The project is carried out at Nydia Quintero de Turbay school, through the PBL methodology as it arises from the pedagogical agreements between teachers  according to students`needs. Step by step, it will be agreed with the language learners and their progress will be evaluated at each stage by following a rubric.

My students forget the vocabulary easily and the way to pronounce the words. We work with Task Based Approach (they have to fulfill a task every class or every two classes). In this term they are learning vocabulary about the protection of the environment with simple actions they can do in their daily lives. 

In order to remember the written form, the pronunciation and the meaning of the new vocabulary students (with my help) are going to use a mnemonic technique in which we are going to create a kind of mental image by thinking of something striking, catchy or funny that helps us remember, it could be any word from their mother language or anything that reminds them of what they need to learn. As it takes some time to do it and some students don't do it in their minds we are going to use a format (four square model) in which they will include the written form of the words, the image that represent the word or words, the pronunciation and a sentence that contains the word describing what it is done in the image. 

After that, they will share what they have done and use it for future activities.

1. In class we check the basic idea on how to describe routines, not as isolated sentences but as a full narrative description, we will do it through using some reading examples about routines everywhere; in that way we also check some grammar issues to keep in mind.

2. In order for us to be sure about grammar understanding, we play a game called among us developed by Genially platform.

3. Sts describe one weekday in their lives. Also they describe how one weekend is for them. They are going to do the same with one family member.

4.Then in class and by using a jamboard they create a T-chart where they compare differences and similarities between her family member routine, her own routine and one the routines read in the first stage.

5. Then they record their conclusion about how routines could be creating a short clip by using Flipgrid app

 This is the English day at my school where the whole high school has the opportunity to participate and interact with the English language by buying and selling different items that they like. We realize that students are afraid of English and in this case they have to talk to each other to get a good product in the store.

Classrooms will be organized like warehouses, where each grade will be in charge of specific items. Sixth grade will sell toys; 7th grade books, 8th grade crafts, 9th grade accessories such as sports, leather, fashion, jewelry; the feeding of the tenth grades and the eleventh grade will be in charge of the logistics, advice and support to the different grades. All the students are motivated because the payment is in real cash, they have to donate 5 items that they don’t need at home and the cash is for them.

The method that we will use is collaborative learning in which students will be divided into work teams, they will be in charge of a specific store for the sale and purchase of items.

The shift will be divided into two moments, the first, some students will be selling their products while the others buy, then they will change their functions.

Something important in this activity is that there are two interesting stores that are the beauty store and the music store (concert). These places are chosen by themselves, according to their interest. Some students like to put on makeup, comb their hair, manicure, so this is an interesting space to work on their life project, other students like to sing, so they will be performing a concert where admission will have a low cost.

The prices will be in a range of $500 to $5000 due to the characteristics of our students.

As technological tools they have to create advertising for their stores, in which there are platforms like powtoons for short videos, and canva or genially for banners.

This activity will take place on October 21st

Firstable, we are going to review the Alphabet phonics and listening with the courses in fifth grade.

In the second step , we  have to make a selection of the 5  best students by course in spelling . 

At the final, we are going to participate in the great spelling bee contest activity. And we will choose a winner.
