Sodapop: Pony's second-oldest brother who is 16 going on 17.
Darry: Ponyboy's oldest brother who is 20 years old. He works as a roofer, and also is a greaser.
Two-Bit Mathews: He is the oldest member of the greaser gang. His real name is Keith.
Dally: His real name is Dallas Winston, toughest member of the greaser gang.
Johnny: Johnny Cade, the second-youngest in the greaser gang, besides Ponyboy. He got beat up by 4 socs in the past.
Sandy: Soda's girlfriend
Cherry: a socs cheerleader, she has red hair.
Marcia: The best friend of Cherry, short, brown hair, is described as cute.
Bob: Either a boyfriend of Cherry or Marcia. Part of the socs.
Randy: Another member of the Socs.

2. The SOCS told Ponyboy that they will give him a haircut under the chin. They took out a very sharp and thin blade and cut Ponyboy's neck open.
3. The Greasers saved Ponyboy when he was getting mugged by the SOCS.
4. When Sodapop tells Ponyboy that he is going to propose to Sandy once she finishes high school.
5. There was a long conversation when Ponyboy explained to Cherry  what the SOCS did to Johnny while they were waiting in line to buy popcorn together.
6. Socs define themselves- good grades, good girls, good cars, madras and mustangs and corasils.
7. Darry slaps Ponyboy across the face because he came 
home late and always says " I didn't think" and "I forgot" Ponyboy got so scared and ran away from home.
8. Ponyboy ran to the vacant lot to get Johnny so they can run away together. They ran several blocks then stopped. It was freezing cold out when everything had happened.
9. Johnny kills Bob with his switchblade. 
10. Johnny thinks that Dally will help them, find plan so they can get out of the situation.
11. Johnny and Ponyboy run away after talking with Dally and now has supplied them with $55 and a filled gun
12. They are both going on the box car on the train to get a free ride to Windrixville and once the are get there they are going to Jay Mountain ( a church)
13. Dally with come get them in the different town once he thinks the coast is clear in his town.
14. Johnny and Ponyboy are cutting their hair, and Pony is bleaching his hair blonde. 2. Since Darry is the oldest, he is a father figure for his younger siblings. However, Ponyboy feels like he does not like him, as he is always harder on him than anyone else.
