Before this course I had never understood infant and toddler care outside of the parent or guardians other than "daycare". I loved to explore the Reggio Emilia curriculum and learn more about their teaching methods. I had only ever heard them mentioned maybe once or twice and find it to be such a useful tool for children and can help parents understand the learning that is happening. I loved how it started because the parents were only keeping the photos and throwing away beneficial notes on the child. Instead of blaming parents the program acknowledged the issue, asked why this was happening and adapted so that parents could keep the pictures and understand the child's learning story as well.
