A way i learnt to manage time was by writing a list. I write down all the jobs i need to do for the day, i also have a list for all the things i need to do for the week.
my daily list prioritizes the things most important from easy quick needing to do jobs to the more larger time consuming jobs.
If i do not finish this daily list, i will fit it in on my next daily list. again starting with the general quick and easy day to day things, then starting with the one i did not complete the day before.
lists really help me to get my mind working and no exactly what needs to be done.

A method I would recommend to use when trying to effectively manage your time would be to write a list daily or weekly so that what you need to get done in the week really sinks in. I find it most effective to physically write it down, personally I feel the brain remembers better, and you benefit more from doing it this way. Also, can input that list into your phone so it's with you at all times, this is best especially if you're a person often on the go. I would recommend crossing tasks off as you go, so you can get grips on what you still have to accomplish for that day/week. Set reminders on tasks you feel are most important, by setting reminders you can get your most important tasks done first, possibly tasks that may have a deadline.

To help manage my time I also write a physical daily 'To Do' list and enjoy the satisfaction of ticking off the tasks that have been completed. I would add to this that for tasks that are about working towards a larger goal, I transfer the goal to a certain date on a wall calendar and then the tasks that make up the major steps towards it, so that I can monitor my progress and create a sense of urgency with completing tasks that could otherwise be continually transferred to tomorrow's list.

I will be pretty honest that my time management has seen better days, this is something i have been working hard on for the last couple years. The way that i have found works is to have a Everyday Planner that has each month and big squares to represent the day, it is in these squares I put the daily tasks that I tick off as a i get them done. I try to attack my list from most important to least so that if there is anything i miss the it transfers to the next day but it becomes first thing on my list unless something else is more impoortant

I'm good at making lists and plans but not so great at following through with them! But when things are going well, aside from my daily and weekly to-do lists, I have a smaller list of long term goals that I break down into smaller steps and add those steps to monthly , weekly and daily to-do lists, so that the plan is to keep moving towards the long term goal.

I am all about routine and sometimes find it hard to get other things done as I am a very set person. I am always on time if not early to appointments, work and events this is a good thing but when I need to add something to my to do or get a task done I find it hard to know when and where to place it. One of my teachers in the past always reminded me its better to be early with extra time to think then to late with a rushed thoughts and actions I often plan my days months and future with this on my mind
