George didn't want Lennie to go through all the hatred in this world. He was thinking how they have to keep running and running. And never reach their dream. Imagine keep feeding the idea of a beautiful place to live. But that can't happen... And maybe one of the two can have that dream. So I agree with letting someone go, someone you love. I think that's what George was thinking. But Lennie's death is also an punishment for George. Feeling guilty, that he can't help Lennie get better.

Lenny is like a child, innocent. But also like a child when he dose something bad they feel guilty. For example when he killed Curly's wife, He felt like a child, scared and guilty for something done. Even if it was not on purpose.

Siblings: Lenny and George, They look out for each other. Slim, I think is a good example, because he looks after every one in his group. Also when Lenny broke Curly's hand, Slim Protected Lenny from getting in trouble. Also when he gave Lenny the puppy. He has the the Big Brother image.....sometimes.
