The 13th and 15th Amendments were important to our country. These are important to American democracy because they abolished slavery and prohibited racial discrimination in voting. The 13th Amendment officially ended slavery. The 15th guaranteed that voting rights could not be denied based on race, important steps for Black citizenship and political power.

15th amendment - I think this amendment is important because I believe that race should not be able to stop anybody from voting or anything that has to do with their rights. Also just because a person has a different skin color doesn't not mean that they are not human everyone is different but alike even when we have different skin colors. Race doesn't define a person just like gender doesn't.

19th Amendment- I think this amendment is important because I believe that gender shouldn't be able to stop anyone from voting or being able to own specific rights. Just because you are female or male it shouldn't define your rights.

The 19th Amendment was important to America because it granted both genders the equal rights to vote. With women allowed to vote, it allowed an increased number of voters and led to a wider range of voices and opinions. This amendment advanced women's rights and symbolized recognition of women as equal American citizens. Not only did this influence a more equal way of life but also led to future changes in policies related to education and social welfare.

The 22nd Amendment was important to America because it prevented any one individual from holding too much power over an extended amount of time. By setting limited terms, the goal was to prevent any president from abusing their power over the State. This created a more normal and safe leadership. This Amendment was even great for experimenting with different types of leadership. Different presidents can bring different ideas and opinions to the table.

The 18th Amendment abolished the sale or
manufacture of alcohol in the United States. This amendment was later repealed
(erased). I think having this law in place at the time really helped and saved a good bit of lives because people were making alcohol in a very unsafe way and promoted it in an unsafe way so I think for the time that the law in place it did some good for the time period it was in place for. The 24th Amendment ensured that no tax could
be charged to vote for any federal office. This one just makes a lot of sense and I feel like it wasn't something that needed to be said because having to pay to vote or getting a tax on your vote after you already voted being taxed on voting shouldn't have ever been thought of because your asking our opinion but we have to pay for our opinion not right or fair it would push people away from voting not towards voting.
