When I walked in, I saw that the living room was a mess. The drawers were open, and things were all over the floor. While I was checking the rooms, I noticed that my laptop and some jewelry were missing. Someone entered in.

I called the police. While I was waiting for them, I kept thinking about how safe the neighborhood used to be. We would leave our doors unlocked during the day, and nothing ever happened.

The officers arrived quickly and started investigating. They told me the burglar probably entered through the back window, which was broken.

I hope they catch the thief soon.
