So when it comes down to the book i enjoy the detail of everything that happens such as the death of magnus and him going to valhalla because his reaction was something that everyone would do in his case.

My favorite Character would have to be Sam ( not her full name) She was the one that had changed our hero's destiny. She had also related to me on a somewhat mental level we both do not want to become like her fathers but her father is a literally giant named Loki while mine is mortal. She also is sarcastic and that is basically me in some situation.

Also if there are any characters to relate to there are the three man characters but only because of the unfortunate events that happened to them , the book itself will not have any connections to you but the characters will someone could have gone through the same things as same and Magnus's past was just cruel but shaped him into the person he is in the book.

The cover

Okay so let's get done to the importance of the cover. The most important thing in this book is the sword of summer , which is the glowing sword there which could sets free the Wolf ( fenrir/fenris ) which is most likely the wolf in the front of the cover . In addition this the only one that can wield the sword is Magnus himself. The tree in the background represents the world tree which and if you do not know Norse mythology that tree keeps all the worlds connected to each other. So you would only see chaos if the tree is not there.

1. " You and your friends will be the tinder . You will start the fire that burns the nine worlds " (p 372)

This quote from the villain Surt shows the gravity of the situation and it tells our main hero's to not mess with this entity.

2. " I love dying with friends " (p.377)

In the context of the situation i thought the quote was just funny.

3. " Magnus , the sword is destined to fall into Surt's hand sooner or later " (p. 201)

this is most likely a contradiction to the book
it makes the reader wonder if Magnus can actually change his fate like the main character of brave or will he not be able to stop it

I would literally recommend this book to anyone that has read the wonderful works Rick Riordan but it also has characters in which makes the story worth reading in the first place. I think people that like Norse mythology or any mythology would be interested as well and there is the fact that this book has a quite a bit of action and the author never fails to include actual myth into any of his stories . I think Rick Riordan's books are built for everyone to enjoy even people that do not read his books would most likely enjoy them and get hooked on them instantly because of the plot.

The song

I think this song relates to Sam the most and also Blitzen. Sam is engaged because of her religion she wants the man of her dreams ( Amir ) to look at her like a normal person but the thing stopping her was her former job as a Valkyrie it showed a side of Sam that wanted a normal life but could not get that at all and she does not want her family ; specifically Amir. She said it herself that it drives her crazy and the line from the song " I don't think I can stand to be where you don't see me " shows us that she is crazy for this man and wants him to see her in a new light.
