If you are thinking in leave your country and come to Dublin and live a new and exciting experience let me tell you why it will be a good or a bad idea.

Transport.

In my opinion, the buses here are better than my home town (Mexico) because there are cleaner, safer and more comfortable, in spite of the traffic jams. But I have heard that Irish people don’t like the public transport because it’s not efficient enough as other European countries. There’s one thing that I don’t like it at all: when they changed the driver in the middle of the road, I have no idea why they do that, by the way I’ll tell you something: be always on time or you will lost the bus.

Housing.

It’s almost an impossible task find a good place here, you have to forget about your privacy and start to share everything with everyone even though you are paying hundreds of euros. You will get used to sharing!

People.

When I arrived here I was terrified because I used to think that Irish people will be similar to British people (they are not) but to be honest they are kind of similar to Mexican people, they like hanging out, parties and drinking! So you will feel like home or better, because they are REALLY nice people.

Housing:

Here in Ireland the issue of accommodation is very complicated because many people take advantage of the opportunity to earn money off of students, because the majority of those who come to Ireland are students. So those who are renting the houses in better condition end up having an advantage over the students, so currently the situation is not bad. However, there has been a real estate crisis since 2008 in Ireland and for now the crisis is a little better, But years ago, it was very difficult for those who were here for the students and for those who were not students as well.

Transport:

Transport in Ireland is very efficient, I really like the transport here compared to the transport in my country, as it is very crowded in my country and in Ireland. It's not that crowded and the transport is of good quality, sometimes it doesn't come on time. However, the delay is two to three minutes and in my country, the delay is more than 20 minutes. So it's different. The difference is so stark, that's why I really like transport in Ireland, as I can use a bus or two for just one euro because I'm a student.

People:

People in Ireland are very warm. I feel welcomed here compared to other countries in Europe, for example Denmark or Norway, they are cold people and end up not being as warm as us Latins, I feel this warmth with people from Italy, Spain and they are also similar to us Latins, but I feel the same here in Ireland because people are very affectionate and know how to express themselves by being kind and helpful.

Housing

Today, accommodation here in Ireland is a big problem for all the houses are very expensive and not everyone has such a nice condition and being a student ends up being more difficult to work and survive here. Some houses has bad conditions and the people who live there can suffer a lot with that problem.

People

About the people here in Ireland. I see that it is a country open to immigration this is a very cool thing to see unfortunately there are cases of xenophobia but I believe that most live well here. My experience with Irish people was good but I met only a few Irish people. I intend to try do more friends here. Let’s see.

Transport

The public transport system of Ireland for me is very good despite the delays that can happen have already happened to me I have a comparison of experience in Brazil the system here is much better than in Brazil despite being a small city but I read an article that I said that Ireland has the worst public transport system here so if I could change something I would change the fact that they should at least accept card payment on the buses and suggested changing everything instead of you need to buy the leap Card

Transport:

Today, living here, I can understand the value of using public transport when public transport is well looked after because where I came from, people didn't take care of their own public transport and even government units didn't take care of public transport, and here in Ireland despite sometimes it's a little crowded but it's comfortable there's plenty of transport you can use several months of transport and it's very cheap so you pay very cheaply for everywhere I was able to go from school to work and it's nice to give you pleasure doing it.

People:

I had a totally different view of people before coming to Dublin but now living here I can say that they feel free because they wear what they feel like they behave how they want and you can see happiness on people's faces even though you don't agree with the type of lifestyle because you sell another culture but at the end of it all you end up understanding that the important thing is to live and feel good about what you do.

Social activities:

t's despite the fact that I don't see much social activity here. Sometimes we can't see people doing charity, but I believe there should be more social programs, especially for young people who, when they leave school, are on the streets on the corners talking with nothing to do, wasting time, spending time with nothing, often going inside in trouble so I believe it would be a good initiative from the government if they started creating programs for young people and teenagers to take them off the streets and introduce cultural sports and educational activities.

Transport

Transport in Dublin is very bad, they all take it to the center and then distribute it to the rest of the city. There is a lot of traffic and it takes a long time, in many cases it is better to walk. in addition to not having more than one payment alternative. Luas is generally the best option, but it doesn't go everywhere in the city.

House

Dublin is suffering from a severe accommodation crisis, you are forced to share a house with many people, generally strangers, and you still pay astronomical prices. The houses are in poor condition and very humid, causing mold.

Social activities

A positive point are the social activities, there are several pubs, parks, trails with beautiful landscapes, beaches and cultural activities. You can choose from expensive to cheap, there is something for all tastes and budgets.

Dublin

Housing:

Dublin's housing scene offers a diverse range of options, from modern apartments in the city center to quaint cottages in the outskirts. While the rental market can be competitive and prices are on the rise, especially in popular areas like Temple Bar or Dublin 4, there are still affordable neighborhoods to be found, particularly in the suburbs. The city's public transportation system makes it feasible to live slightly further out while still enjoying easy access to amenities and the city center.

Social Activities:

Dublin is a vibrant city bursting with social activities for every taste. From traditional Irish pubs where you can enjoy live music and a pint of Guinness to trendy cafes serving artisanal coffee, there's something for everyone. The city also boasts a rich cultural scene, with numerous theaters, galleries, and museums to explore. Plus, with its proximity to stunning natural landscapes like the Dublin and Wicklow Mountains, outdoor enthusiasts have plenty of opportunities for hiking, cycling, and more.

People:

The people of Dublin are known for their warmth, humor, and friendliness. Whether you're striking up a conversation with a stranger at the pub or getting directions from a passerby on the street, you're likely to encounter a genuine sense of hospitality. The city's multicultural population adds to its diversity, making it a welcoming place for people from all walks of life. Overall, the sense of community in Dublin is strong, making it easy to feel at home, even if you're new to the city.
