I’m Gabriela, a 22 years old History student.  Currently I am working at the Centro de Estudos e Pesquisas Arqueológicas which belongs to UFPR; at work, with my colleagues, I catalog the archaeological collections of CEPA.  This year I will conclude my graduation and my monograph deals with the idea of piety as an important element for the construction of the unity in Charlemagne’s empire through a medieval book known as Vita Karoli. I’m still writing it and I really hope it’s over soon.  

Well, I’ve learned a lot of english watching TV shows,  listening music and mainly reading papers and books for my research, because the historiography about the subject of  my monograph is most part in english. Besides, I can understand speech very well because of a Canadian friend which lives in Curitiba and talks with me almost every day and I can speak a little bit too, but I don’t have any practice in writing in english, so I feel that I need to improve this to have a better understanding of the language.
