 The purpose of assessment comes with four categories. First, the purpose of Formative assessment, the purpose of this is to provide feedback of the learners progress or class standing. This also helps students to improve their performances and make progress by the next performance .Second is the purpose of Summative assessment, this assessment purpose is to gather all the information about the judgement of a student level of performance. This summative assessment usually used at the end of a semester or every end of grading period. The third one is protect academic standard, the purpose of this to have an evidence that a certain learner has improve their skills and should be awarded and a certain qualified to move on a higher educational level. The last one is feedback for teaching, the teachers can identify if they are effective teacher or not by looking closely to his or her given summative and formative assessment. For Example, a teacher can say that she is an effective teacher if she sees that her student are improving in every skills she teaches.

Clarity of Learning Targets
Setting Learning Targets must be the first step to a student learning process. It means that all teachers should ensure that the learning targets are appropriate to a specific grade level. International Teaching means that teachers should stat their class to a meaningful and fun activities that reflects to exactly what is the teachers lesson and the students expected to learn. In order to do that there are comprehensible and usable learning targets, this are Knowledge Targets, Reasoning Targets, Skills Targets, Product Targets and Dispositional Targets.

There are also Methods in choosing the best way to conduct a Authentic Assessment. One of this Selected Response, this kind of methods usually has one selected response or one best answer. For example is Multiple choice, Fill in the blank, and Matching questions. Second is Extended Written Response, in this method student are in need to write a feedback to answer the given question. Example of this are Short answer essay or Essay. Third is Performance Assessment, in this way students need to demonstrates their prior skills to a certain topic. Last, is Personal Communication is a method used in to know what have they learned through an oral interview.

Sampling is a method used to speed up the process of evaluating the students knowledge. Picking the size of sampling will depend on how big the population are. There are also four types of Sampling, Simple Random Sampling, Stratified Sampling, Systematic Sampling and Cluster Sampling.

In assessing a learner its not just giving a task randomly. It has to be accurate to the learner’s knowledge and skills or even on its educational level.
Authentic Assessment is an assessment that shows learner’s knowledge, skills, achievement and ways how to motivate them. There are also four important reason why Student Assessment are important.

1. Direct Measures – this means that Authentic Assessment gives the students a chance to know and apply the knowledge to their selves
2. Capture the constructive nature of leaning – means that every students needs to know and identify on their own their knowledge in order to learn thoroughly, they need to know and learn on their own and not just to be fed up by their teachers.
3. Integrate Teaching, Learning and Assessment – it means that Authentic Assessment build a Relation between the teacher and the students to learn together.
4. Provide Multiple paths to demonstration – research shows that Authentic Assessment creates a lot of ways for the students to learn in every way possible.
Authentic Assessment is embedded in learning process of both teachers and students. Authentic Assessment helps the teachers if they are effective teachers or not. While for the students it helps them to learn in any way and to know their learning process.

The Characteristics Authentic Assessment should be:
Realistic in Nature, proposing a scenario that makes sense and should be realistic in order for the students to cope up with the lesson.
Requires Creativity, Ingenuity and Resourcefulness, this means that the students should think out of the box, students needs to be creative.

Action Oriented, the teachers should requires the students to do a task or performance task to demonstrate, in this way the knowledge will be impart perfectly to the students.
In assessing students knowledge and skills there are also 4 principles of authentic assessment.
1. Focus on what really matters, this means that teachers should teach the students what they really need to learn specifically to their certain lesson. If the teachers are not teaching this will result to have a problem assessing the students.
2. Provide Valid Indications, this means that the given task to the students should be close to real life situations
