When companies list their stock they are hoping to achieve certain fiscal goals and gain the most investment capital possible. The image shows that Canada's largest stock exchange is one of, if not the, most popular in the world for oil and gas.

This image shows a "pure market economy" flow chart. A pure market economy is one in which the markets dictate the economy exclusively with no interference. Thus, we see in the image that firms supply goods and services, consumers buy and supply labour to the firms. This creates what should be a perfect cycle. Both the output market (goods/services) and input market (labour etc) are untouched and rely completely on the other.

This video talks about Canada's housing market. The housing market involves real estate transactions in Canada. The video mentions that issues regarding supply are causing there to be unmet demand. This lack of supply, mainly affordable housing, has led to a rise in housing prices across the country. Moreover, the video talks about rent control in Canada. it discusses how rent control seems desirable, but will detract investors from the market. This they argue, would damage the real estate market and so rent control should be avoided.

In this video helps to better understand how markets are impacted. It overviews types of market structures. These include monopolies and the pure market mentioned in Image #2. It goes over how the different types of market structures work. for example, it outlines that in a monopoly only one firm controls the means of production and thus their is limited choice. In this economy one firm controls so much marketshare that they have no competition and essentially, "own" the market entirely. The video also mentions how things like population, and quality of product in their relation to the market.

The article discusses markets and what they are. I found it incredibly useful when researching this topic. The article helps to describe and explain markets. For example, it discusses how geography impacts markets, like for example North America or Europe and their respective trade agreements within. The article helps to understand securities markets as well. Securities markets, are markets that include stocks, bonds, currency etc. It also helps to explain the importance of markets in society.
