Seth Dasilva
I gave you an image of people camping and fishing next to a campfire. The connotation, one of them says I just got bit, the connotation of this is that a fish just bit the persons bait, and another person would usually say what bait are you using. The denotation of this would be ow I just got bit and someone else would say are you ok. We are singing campfire songs laughing and having fun, catching fish cooking and eating them, we made marshmallows and laughed all night long! The mood of this was happy and enjoyment. Now if I said we sang campfire songs and ate fish and marshmallows. For the mood you have to give a little imagery.
