I will encourage them to share their ideas firstly in pairs (so they gradually get used to it). Then I might arrange activities that involve discussions. As a teacher, I would monitor students closely and appreciate each student’s idea/opinion so that they feel comfortable and happy to share. In order to improve, we should assure our students that we can be closer and that we are there not only to teach them, but also to listen to their needs and desires.

To make the class more entertaining we could ask the students what are their passions and we could try to find a link between their passions and our subject.
