Circe was Odysseus second mentor. She is known as "... the enchantress" (Homer line 32). Circe helped him on his long journey home. 

Teiresias was another mentor in his journey. He gave advice to odysseus when he said "Avoid those kine, hold fast to your intent, and hard seafaring brings you all to Ithaca" (Homer 643-644). This proves to be helpful when he encounters his cattle.

Telemachus is Odysseus' son, and was one of few that helped him fight the suitors. He helped Odysseus when he "ran to the room where spears and armor lay" (Homer line 1515). 
Eumaeus' help wasn't always recognized by odysseus when he helped him out. He was close to Odysseus' son. Eumaeus helped "[kill] all the suitors" (Homer).

Odysseus showed Intelligence when he had his men tie him down while passing the Sirens, so he himself will be able to hear their song, but not be entranced by their singing. He told his men "... tie me up, tight as a splint" (Homer line 695). Leadership is one of the main characteristics it takes to be a hero. Odysseus shows leadership for his men when defeating the cyclops. He claimed "Nobody will not get out alive, I swear" (Homer line 409).
