What is your teaching philosophy?<br>5. Is inclusion important?<br>- Inclusion is very important and vital to the success and happiness of all students.&nbsp;<br>6. What teaching strategies have worked really well for you and your students on the spectrum?<br>- Some teaching strategies that have been very helpful are differentiated instruction, embedding social skills and life skills training, and multisensory instruction.&nbsp;<br>7. How important is it to form positive relationships with each child's parent/family?<br>-Positive relationships with families really do help make it easier to guide students towards successful times in school.&nbsp;<br>8. What has your experience been with IEPs?<br>9. How has your job as a teacher informed your role as a parent?<br>10. What are the advantages for all students when you fully include students on the spectrum?<br>-Inclusion is beneficial to all students because it helps them physically, helps them be more confident and happy, and makes their time in school more successful. <br>11.          <description><![CDATA[<div>J. Murph Parent of a Child with Autism<br><br>Questions Asked:&nbsp;<br>1.) At what age was your child diagnosed with Autism?<br>2.) Did they receive early intervention services?<br>3.)How vital was early intervention for your child?<br>4.) What has your child's experience been like in public school?<br>- My child did attend public school for kindergarten but eventually we made the decision for him to attend an independent school that is more suitable for his needs and abilities. That switch to the school- Stratford Friends School- has really impacted him in so many positive ways.<br>5.) What is your child passionate and interested in?<br>- My child loves electronics, and spends a lot of time looking at things like videos on the computer. He also enjoys partaking in horseback riding and has even participated in the Devon Horse Show.&nbsp;<br>6.) Have there been any teachers that have really made a difference for your child?<br>7.) Is inclusion important?<br>8.) Does your child receive any services outside of school?<br>9.) What strategies and interventions have really benefitted your child?<br>10.) What has your experience been with IEPs and IEP meetings?<br>11.) How important is it to form a positive and collaborative relationship with your child's teacher(s)?<br>12.) How important are positive sibling and family relationships for your child?<br>- My child is really close with their siblings and father and I, spending a lot of time playing with brothers and sister, and helping out with their youngest brother. It has really been beneficial to all our children.</div>]]></description>
