This changed the way people worked and they improved the technology and the manufacturing industry. The workers would make machinery powered by water and steam. The industrial revolution changed gender roles for women by bringing them into the workforce.

The Cotton gin had a big part in slavery because it increased the amount of slaves. The underground rail road was a big part for the slaves because the could escape from their owner and go to the free states like Canada. The people who helped them escape were badly punished and could be killed.
