This item is a youtube video that explains to kindergarten and first graders how to add up to 20. The octopus uses sea shells to help students visualize this. This item could be used in the classroom to help students visualize the content of addition up to 20. By seeing sea shells being added in small groups, students will better understand how to add. I will use videos like this in my classroom so that my students can visualize the material better. This item supports the ALCOS standard "MA19.K.3a Represent 0 to 20 using concrete objects when given a written numeral from 0 to 20 (with 0 representing a count of no objects)." because it students are counting the sea shells in the video to equal 20. This video met my criteria for this subject because not only does it teach kindergarten and first graders how to add up to 20, but it also will help them visualize the content and entertain them. While lecturing can be great for teaching sometimes, I believe that small children learn best when they are engaged and excited to learn. This video encompasses that.

This item is an image that shows students how to add different numbers up to 20. The re are different color dots to help students add the different groups of numbers. For example, 8 dark dots plus 6 light dots is equal to 14 dots all together. This item could be used in the classroom to help students practice their addition facts up to 20. This image will help students learn how to add different numbers. This item supports the ALCOS standard "MA19.K.5 Count to answer “how many?” questions." This is because the equations are not solved yet, so the kindergarteners will have to add up the two numbers to find out how many there are. This image met my selection criteria because not only will it help teach my students how to add, but it will also help them practice. This image will allow my students to connect instructions given in class to the dots on the image.

This item is an interactive website on Khan Academy that allows students to practice adding numbers up to 20. Students are able to practice their addition facts and then see their summary after completing 7 problems. Khan Academy explains what they did wrong and right at the end. This tool could be used in the classroom to help students learn and master their addition facts up to 20. This is a good tool to use on a rainy day because it can be done quietly and independently. This tool will be used in my classroom because it is informational for the students and all shows their progress. This item best supports the ALCOS tool "MA19.K.5 Count to answer “how many?” questions." because students will be able to add numbers and answer how many there are. This website met my selection criteria because it provides students with important information and it is interactive. By showing the students' progress at the end of their practice, Khan Academy allows for growth in students.

This item is video that teaches students a song about multiplying by 3. This song is catching and will help students remember the multiplication by 3 facts. This tool could be used in the classroom every morning to help students memorize this content. Repetition is key when it comes to learning multiplication so this tool is perfect. I will definitely use a video like this when teaching my students how to multiply by three because it makes learning fun while also instilling the material in the students' brains. This item best supports the ALCOS standard "MA19.3.5 Develop and apply properties of operations as strategies to multiply and divide". This is because students will be showing their knowledge about multiplication that they have developed by watching this video. This video met my selection criteria because it will help students memorize their multiplication facts by three, while also making it a daily and fun occurance.

This image shows the answers to multiplication facts by 3 from 0-12. This item could be used in the classroom to hang on the wall. By seeing this everyday, students will learn their facts and memorize them without even realizing it. I will have images like this displayed in my classroom because I think it is important for them to be able to visualize the problems being asked. This item best supports the ALCOS standard "MA19.3.1 Illustrate the product of two whole numbers as equal groups by identifying the number of groups and the number in each group and represent as a written expression." This is because students will be multiplying two numbers and finding the product of the two whole numbers, specifically pertaining to the number 3. This item met my selection criteria because it will help my students learn and also memorize their multiplication facts. It was also be used daily when referring to this content.

You can choose any number that needs to be practiced and complete problems pertaining to it. Under the equation, there are 3 answers to pick from. This tool could be used in the classroom to practice on a rainy day during independent time. It could also be used at home for further practice. I will be implementing this tool in my classroom so that students can practice and memorize their multiplication facts by 3. This item best supports the ALCOS standard "MA19.3.1 Illustrate the product of two whole numbers as equal groups by identifying the number of groups and the number in each group and represent as a written expression." This could be used in a kindergarten classroom to help students memorize and sound out the sounds letters make. I will be using a video like this in my classroom everyday so that my students can learn what every letter says, while also having fun and singing along with classmates. This item best supports the ALCOS standard "ELA21.K.R2 Use knowledge of phoneme-grapheme correspondences and word analysis skills to decode and encode words accurately." This is because kindergarteners will be using their knowledge of phonics to decode individual letters and words. This item met my selection criteria because it provides visuals for students to understand the sounds letters make. It also will help them memorize the sounds by watching it everyday. This will be a good tool because it keeps students engaged in learning.

I will be using a website like this to provide to my students when going over this content. This item supports many ALCOS standards, but one i find important is ELA21.2.7a Use collective nouns. " This is because nouns are everywhere so I believe they are one of the more important parts of speech for students to learn. This item met my selection criteria because it goes into detail about all 8 parts of speech and can be referred to at school and home.

Students can refer back to this website to come up with examples. I will use a website like this when teaching about using parts of speech in sentences because I believe it will be beneficial for students to see everything explained in the chart. This item best supports the ALCOS standard "ELA21.2.15
Utilize new academic, content-specific, grade-level vocabulary, making connections to previously learned words and relating new words to background knowledge." This is because students will be applying what they have learned to provide sentences with parts of speech. This will follow them all throughout school.
