What is your understanding of Formative Assessment?

- 2 important focus for teachers: “What did I do as

a teacher?” and “What did my students learn?”

- comes in different forms

- Used to monitor progress of students

- Help teachers to identify learning misconceptions/gaps early

- Important to not over think it as "assessment" like SA1/SA2. Take it as how we normally assess the understanding of our students on a daily basis

- Can be as simple as how we give comments on students' work or the questions/prompts we give them as a form of feedback
