The world (at his time) was filled with euthanasia, abortion, genocide, murder... The list goes on and on. But, Pope John Paul II continued to affirm that value of honoring life. One of the teachings he upheld often was Humanae Vitae ("Of Human Life") which promoted marriage and the dignity of women. He was also pro-life and advocated to give all life a chance to live from natural birth until natural death.
