Example Question: When I enter a cost with cents, it is rounded up. Why?

Since a Budget is a PLAN for saving and spending, costs are estimates. I formatted the cells in the google sheet to round. I would for you to use whole dollars and avoid using cents in the cells. This will also help with balancing your budget.

When I balance my budget, the monthly column is balanced but my yearly is off by a small amount (only $3). How do I fix this?

This is an excellent question. As long as you do not change any of the formulas and the monthly is balanced properly, do not stress if your yearly is off by a few cents or even a couple dollars. You will not lose points.
