The partition was outlined in the Indian Independence Act 1947 and resulted in the dissolution of the British Raj,which estabillished Crown rule in India. The two self-governing independent Dominions of India and Pakistan legally came into existence at midnight on 15 August 1947.

What people of both dominions lost was their relationships of ties by marriage, business, inner sense of unity, and many more like proudly being secular. Till date, Religions or Diversities did not exist as particular. Due to a group of people, the residents who were at family functions, sleeping peacefully with their neighbours in the Chaubaras on Manjiyan in the country were forced to leave everything aside for just not being called peculiar on living with people who did not belong to their community in that time and return to their community's land. Brothers and Sisters, Daughters and fathers, Grandparents and Grandchildren were forced to leave each other and get divided into two borders of land ,with respect to their religion, Muslims or Seculars ,even if they did not wish to.
From that day ,somewhere in the mind of Indians or Pakistanis, there exists a wish to see relatives they lost during the partition. Some of them don't know whether their close ones are alive or not. However the Sun or Moon rise and set in both the sides of borders.
Hope this brings Hope to forge together in unity..

Havisha Sharma
X D

« Indo China War of 1962 »

~ India would never suspect that china would attack but it did. India was attacked on October 20, 1962 in what famously came to be known as Sino - India war of 1962.

~ The war continued for about a month and ended on November 21, after china declared a ceasefire.

~ In the war, in these treacherous terrains, 722 PLA soldiers were killed and around 1,400 soldiers were wounded. While the Indian death stroll stood at 1383, 1696 Indians went missing and over 400 taken as prisoners of war.

~ That generation had also seen 2.5 million starvation deaths due to Bengal Famine, not to mention Nehru's own personal sorrows during his 30-year freedom struggle including 9-years in prison. The 1,400 deaths in 1962 were the tip of an iceberg while Nehru had seen far worse.

Koena Lal, Xth D (4144) —

Throughout urban history cities have been regularly torn apart as collateral damage in wars and rebellions.
