Welcome to Our World History Padlet!

Hello, students!

This Padlet will be our online hub for exploring, sharing, and collaborating throughout our journey in World History. Here, you will post assignments, respond to classmates' ideas, and participate in group projects that will help us dive deeper into historical events, cultures, and civilizations.

Our goal this year is not just to learn about the past, but to make connections to the world we live in today. Through critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration, we will investigate the forces that have shaped human history across time and place.

Expectations for Padlet:

• Be respectful and thoughtful in your posts and comments.

• Complete assignments with care and attention to detail.

• Support and learn from each other through collaboration.

I am excited to see all the great discussions, projects, and ideas you will share this year!

• Choose one of the four civilizations (Mesopotamia, Egypt, Indus Valley, or Ancient China).

• Create a post answering the following in 150–200 words:

  • What made the civilization successful (think: geography, government, culture)?

  • How did the river support the civilization’s growth?

• Include a map or image related to your civilization.

• Respond to at least one classmate’s post by making a connection or asking a thoughtful question (3–4 sentences).

• In groups of 3–4, create a virtual museum exhibit on Padlet for one of the four civilizations.

• Your exhibit must include:

  • A brief history overview (5–7 sentences).

  • One major technological innovation or achievement and why it mattered.

  • One primary source (picture, artifact, ancient text, etc.) with a short description.

  • A short reflection (5–7 sentences): How does this civilization still impact the modern world?

• Use images, videos, or links to make your post visually interesting.

• Each group must comment on at least two other groups' exhibits (3–4 sentences).
