Hello my name is Suan Escobar pronounced swan like the bird. I am Puertorican and Honduran, I speak fluent spanish. My major is Spanish because I want to help people. Translate, interpret for people who don’t understand english. In 2018-2020 a lot of people who got hit by hurricane Maria and Irma came from Puerto Rico and moved to the United States to live a better lifestyle after the damage. Most of my peers in high school with me that came from the hurricane couldn’t understand English, which led to me watching them struggle or even fail due to their being one interpreter in a school with 30+ students who did not speak english.
