Mexico is one of the most megadiverse countries in the world, it is estimated that in Mexico there is 12% of the terrestrial diversity of the planet. It occupies the first place in the world in richness of reptiles, the second in mammals and the fourth in amphibians and plants.

The depletion of mineral, forestry and energy resources as a percentage of Mexico's GDP decreased from 10.2% in 1980 to 3.84% in 2000, the year in which the trend changed and increased to 5.7% in 2010. This shows how Mexico continues being a country that depends largely on its natural wealth in its economic development.

According to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), Argentina is the ninth country in the world with the greatest wealth and natural biodiversity. In addition, it has one of the seven natural wonders of the world, the Iguazu Falls.
Argentina has an enormous diversity of fauna and flora thanks to its extension and climatic varieties conditioned by factors as diverse as latitude, altitudes, soil conditions etc. This diversity allows the country to count on many native species such as the Aguará guazú, aguará chaí, tapetí común, huemul, pudú, mite rosé, etc.

Brazil is a fundamental country in the global context of sustainable development. It shelters the largest tropical forest in the world, in a territory of approximately 6 million square kilometers. The Amazon forest occupies 49% of the Brazilian territory, and it is estimated that its existence occupies an important place in the balance of the global climate, as well as its enormous mineral and vegetable wealth is of incalculable value for biological and medicinal research and for the balance of global human society. The preservation of this forest and its biomes is fundamental from the perspective of the development of humanity, from the current and future landscape. There is an awareness of the importance of preservation and environmental balance, but it is not hegemonic, or even worse, it is not dominant to the point of guiding the major debates of policy formulation and of concretizing the consequent actions with a positive and regular green agenda . Inserted in the society of modern liberal capitalism, the country responds to international demands and at the same time, still timidly, seeks to be a protagonist in the game of the dominant market.

Chile is the most economically developed country in Latin America, its quality of life is the best in the region and it is increasingly similar to that of developed countries. However, at an environmental level, the country still has many challenges that it must overcome in order to achieve true sustainable development.
Most indicators and indicators of sustainable performance show that Chile is very well positioned in sustainable development, especially when compared with other countries in the region. Although there are some areas in which the country has considerable delays, the trends of the indicators show that the country is moving towards a more sustainable state.
Chile stands out for the care of its forests and the defense of air quality and water resources. However, it has difficulties in commercial fishing, the use of renewable energies and sustainable agricultural policies.

Australia is the world leader in sustainability and control of marine resources. According to the FAO, its successful policy in the face of the scenario of overexploitation of resources, involves the use of artisanal fishermen in the collection of scientific data used to establish fishing quotas.
The Australian idea, in which fishermen benefit from sustainable fishing and also as workers for the scientific research that this requires, is at first sight an ideal balance.
