Another difference is motivation. If people work from home, they would take care of kids and pets at the same time, which would interrupt their thinking on work. By the way, there are too many things attracting people to stop working and have some fun, including delicious food, comfortable bed and interesting drama. All of them will decrease people’s motivation on work. Therefore, it seems like different on working in the office. Working with colleagues will active people’s ambition because of a virtual competition. At the same time, a good teamwork could improve creativity efficiently, which create more profits company.

 

A third difference lies in balancing the life and work. If people work in the office, they can enjoy their private activities after working time. While after working, they could balance the life and work well as well as manage their private time excellently. Nevertheless, people who working from home must work from morning to night. That means they may mess their daily life and could not pay special attention on their family.

To sum up, there are several differences between working from own house and working from a formal office, especially on the cost, work ambition and control the lifestyle and life pace. No matter a person prefers to working at home or working in the office, people need to manage their time as well as lead a peaceful life.

 

In the writing class i reviewed the topic sentence and learned what is supporting sentence. I found topic sentence, controlling idea and supporting sentece in a paragraph. To be honest i dont know topic sentence and supporting sentence before i came here. I learned the definition of them and now i can pick them easily.

In acadamic skills class, I think it is very useful to learn acadamic reading there are 5 acadamic skills in reading, skimming, preadicting, recording, summarise and scanning. Then we have a example, its a long acadamic article, i used those 5 skills easier to find answer of those questions such as what is the main idea of one paragraph, how to find a key word of a paragraph. If you use those skills before you read acadamic article it will save a lot of time,moreover i can remove many usless sentence.

Therefore i think all of the classse can help me to improve my reading, speaking, listening and acadamic skills. I think this pre-sessional lessons can help further increase my skills that will allow me to succeed in my progrm at the univeristy of northampton.

Our homework is like a questionnaire some questions about the library of park campus in it.Some of us went to the library and asked the lady who work in the library.She was very patient to answer our questions,and she also said many of student who first come this campus will ask the same question about the labrary every year.Then all of us borrowed one book from the library.The subject of books we borrowed is about grammar,vocabulary and IELTS,those books can not only help us pre-sessonal English,but also help us learn in the future.

In academic skills class,We have a new lecturer called Senmon,and he can speak some Chinese,it is prety cool.He leaded us review some academic reading skills what we learnt yestoday.Then we used these skills to read a article named Scottish Independence.I can find the main idea of the article quickly,and what the author want to describe in each paragraph.Then we learnt two ways of how to write a summary when you read a article.It is very important that choose one way you like to write a summary in the future.You will find every point of this article when you reread.In the rest of class time,we did one practice about write a summary.

 

We have more free time today,because the class over at 11.So when i finished my lunch,i went to the library to study,and i found the library is open 24hours every,it is very different as my university in China.The environment in the library was very good,it is only one thing in my mind when i went to there is study.I have been in the library for almost 3 hours to do my homework and to read some book.In my spare time,i will go to the library.I prefer to study in the library,not in my hall.In the library,i will more forcus on studying.
