The male roles in the Athens and the roles in Sparta are quite different. The roles of men in Athens go to school and memorized poetry and learned how to play a musical instrument, usually the lyre. They studied public speaking, drama, reading, and writing. They also participated in sports. The sons of nobles went to high school - for more years of learning about the sciences, arts, politics, and the government. While the men in Sparta want to a training school for 13 years to do enough reading and writing to be in the military. like maps and stuff.
