I would chose her because even though she was very young she knew the most about the area that they were researching in. She knew which paths were the easiest to take, which plant are good for medicine, which ones you could eat, and she knew how to take to other native american tribes. She also would have been a good person to take because she grew up there and everything was still familiar to her. She would have been a good member of the corps because she was a very independent person and she knew what she was doing all of the time. She also made the group seem more friendly for the simple fact that she was a women. Sacagawea also knew both english and the language that other native americans spoke, so that would make her helpful when it came to making peace with other groups. This plant is a round and twiggy shrub, and has silvery scurfy leaves with reddish colored branches. On the plant there are clusters of small cone shaped flowers with a strong sweet scent, the fruit on this plant is dry and a white colored berry. This kind of owl is very large and varies in color from white, to brown and grey. There ears are set far apart and makes them look like horns, and they have yellow eyes just like any other type of owl. The tribe wanted the corps to stay with them on the way to the pacific, but they didn’t and instead stayed on the way back.
