         <description><![CDATA[<div>On Friday, we put room temperature washers in hot water. I noticed that the metal washers got warmer by 7 degrees while the water got cooler by 12 degrees. On Monday, we put hot washers in room temperature water. I found that the washers cooled down by 19 degrees when the water was getting hotter by 15 degrees. This happens because of conduction. Hot molecules transfer their energy to the cooler molecules, therefore the cold object will get warmer.</div>]]></description>
