De'Sheyon is much more functional throughout his day. The transitions for students who move to and from EC services are minimized through collaboration. (This is Cleaver, even though it says Anonymous, and I know that second one was more about teachers ;)

Students calling each other names like "gay" and "retards" and cursing at each other (recess, lunch, and transitions). I think this should be addressed in community meetings regularly to redefine and reinforce our community standards.

I thought that only teachers were supposed to get Chromebooks from the carts. Students are in and out of the large commons all day taking Chromebooks but nobody is supervising them to make sure they are only taking the ones that belong to their class or grade level. There is always a big crowd of students at the end of the day bringing Chromebooks back to the large commons but they are not supervised and they usually end up leaving them in piles on the tables and standing around socializing instead of putting them in the carts and plugging them in. Can we go back to teachers getting and returning Chromebooks, or if you want your students to carry them for you, please go with them to supervise them.

Some of my best moments have come from listening to parents talk about the growth they have seen in their children in IEP meetings. More than once, I've heard a parent say that their child used to hate school, and now they enjoy coming. We might not see it every day, but we are creating a place where many kids enjoy being and learning. That's huge for a middle school.

The bathroom use has been increasing and destruction of the bathroom/interruption of classes has also increased. I hear stories of students using phones in bathrooms, rough housing in bathroom, and skipping in bathrooms. I also don't think that we are using the Google Form hall pass with fidelity anymore.
