Significance: This shows how he is not pardoned from the draft. As he refers to I ain't no senators son meaning he does not get to decide if he goes to the draft as the senators son does not have to go. As he is also referring to the rich and poor classes.

Significance: This shows how the people give to the war effort but in the eyes of the rich they can't give enough. While the government wan't more money to afford the production of the military. The people can't afford to give more money.

Significance: It shows how they are patriots and how they are supporting the war every way possible. As some are not supporting the flag.
