Dr. Carpenter isn't who youwould think he is. Yes he is a doctor. I'm not going to tell you who he really is, or there wouldn't be much point in reading this book. Dr. Carpenter is a doctor. He is going on the ship to help the wounded survivors. He specializes in care of frostbite and things like that. His brother was one of the people at ice station when the place cought on fire, and that is the main reason Dr. Carpenter is going to help, to see if his brother was still alive.

I rate this a 4/5 (5 being the highest) because some parts were dull like the beginning, and during the fire on the submarine, but word choice and the rest of the book was amazing. One thing I didn't live was that the author never used much to replace the word said. It was always he said. He didn't use different work choice like instead of said, he moaned or something like that. It truly was a "Thrilling Arctic Adventure".

Dr. Carpenter is going on a mission to the Arctic North Pole where a meteorological trapped from a fire that burnt down there base and lab. Carpenter is taking the American's army's pride and joy, a nuclear submarine called the Dolphin. When the Dolphin reaches the station, stuff starts to fall into place...

The setting mostly took place in the submarine and on top of the ice. The ice was very vast, cold, and plain. The submarine was very large and there was lots of wires and there wasn't much room. The submarine had lots of rooms, but they were all very small. and not explained exept for their uses.

I rate this a 1/5 (5 being hardest) because there was not very much words that people could get confused with. The author didn't put the sentenses in a weird format.
