These MRI's revealed that males usually have higher brain volume while women have a larger hippocampus. It also found that women have thicker cortices than men (outer layer of the brain that deals with memory, consciousness, language and other functions.

Which means there have been multiple studies done concerning the differences and similarities between the male and female brain. So far there seem to be more similarities than differences.

Generally speaking, the hippocampus in females are larger and grow faster. Researchers believe this explains why females have strong social skills. On the other hand, the amygdala and hypothalamus is usually larger in males. These structures play a role in how the body responds to fear/danger, perhaps explaining why males have to move around more and have more assertive behaviors.

Recent studies show that the different regions of the brain could be smaller or bigger in men or women than the other, but the sizes of the regions aren't inclusive to one gender. Scientists say that based off of this fact, society could potentially change what defines gender.

We found that the male and female brain overlap and that there are certain percentages that measure the differences... "between 23% and 53% of brains contained a mix of regions that fell on the male-end and female-end spectrum. Very few of the brains, between 0% and 8% contained all male or all female structures... there is no one type of fe/male brain."

Our claim should be supported because there is a ton of evidence that prove this to be true, Yes, overtime as people mature, men grow differently than women, and the hormones that go through each genders brain can affect they way that they think. But overall there is too much evidence that shows that men and women's brains are made the same way. We aren't from different planets.

The brain is essentially the same for both males and females. Some structures of the brain may be bigger/smaller depending on the gender, but of course it depends on the person themselves.

"Brain-imaging studies indicate that these differences extend well beyond the strictly reproductive domain, Cahill says. Adjusted for total brain size (men’s are bigger), a woman’s hippocampus, critical to learning and memorization, is larger than a man’s and works differently. Conversely, a man’s amygdala, associated with the experiencing of emotions and the recollection of such experiences, is bigger than a woman’s. It, too, works differently."
