Caption This! A fun, deep-thinking Google Drawings activity (posted by Erica L)

This is a great resource for ELA teachers! It deals with using Google Slides or Google Drawing to take an image and put captions on it. I thought something like this would work well if a student was working on a research project and wanted to add an image. This tool could help them label different parts of the image.

One Story MANY Endings- a fun, creative Google Slides activity (posted by Jesse)

I love this idea! In our class we read many stories both picture books and chapter books. We often discuss characters and their personality traits. I like this activity for connecting choice with characters and their personalities. I could see using this to deepen understanding of cause and effect as well as how someones personality often correlates to decisions they make.
I could see creating one of these for students to work through and also making one together by brainstorming multiple scenarios and outcomes with the students.

Google Maps Treks (Posted by Dustin)

I really like the versatility of Google Maps Treks. I specifically looked into the Yosemite street view. You are able to relate to the climbers and actually get on their level as they are making their ascents. This is a fun way for students to explore different parts of the world and different adventures while really understanding from their perspective.

How to Create Classroom Templates in GDocs and Slides(Posted by Amanda)

These slides are typically used as digital assignments that require students to apply a skill and then maneuver the parts of the slide in order to show mastery. I have used resources like this from TPT and students really enjoy them. I would be interested in creating some of my own resources to use in my own classroom.
