The concepts that struck me the most are sign vehicles and masks. With the examples given, I realized that I perceive people based on the way that they act, talk, and look. I also adjust the different sign vehicles that I may present in the presence of different people, such as new friends, close friends, family, parents, and other groups of people in order to convey a certain image or persona that will please them (may it be consciously or subconsciously, which is why I chose this photo).

Relating this to the mask, I think that I exhibit different sign vehicles based on the level of vulnerability that I have with a group. If I'm comfortable with them, I no longer have to show different masks and sign vehicles with them compared to first meeting these friends. It's interesting to connect these ideas with my own personal life as it does indeed help me understand myself further.

The concept that struck me the most in this module is the ABC Model. This model helped me understand how our emotions work and the process that our brains undergo when feeling emotions. I can see how this model works in my own personal life because this is how I do feel emotions -- I just never took time to look into them because they happen in a split second. It's very interesting to understand them from a scientific explanation and approach.

For example, this ABC model explains how I feel happy when laughing at a meme, how sad I can get when fighting with a boyfriend or a friend, or when I get scared during a movie or of an "ipis". Moving forward, this model and the other concepts presented can now help me understand my feelings and emotions more -- which is a problem that I struggled with previously.

The theory that struck me the most for this module is Erikson's Psychosocial Perspective. I actually took IB Psychology in high school, so I have already studied all these theories! It's interesting to have a refresher and learn them again through another perspective. I chose Erikson's model since I can relate to the different stages, especially Stage 5: Identity vs. Role Confusion. I think that my biggest struggle right now is identifying who I am and what I want to do. I don't know what I want to do right now in college, or what I want to do after graduation. I don't know anything really, and I'm trying to find a way to find myself during this pandemic. It's very hard considering all the uncertainty, but it's nice to know that most, if not all of us, are dealing with the same issue/s.

In this module, the idea that struck me the most is individuation in friend and romantic settings. These concepts really explained a lot of the thoughts and actions that involve my friends and significant others, such as how we start dating, maintain relationships, make friends, develop barkadas, and more. We explore the world around us with the people we encounter, and the different things that we do with these people affects how we shape our world and define ourselves as individuals and as people within our community. It's nice to examine the social explanation of how we broaden our world and explore the things around us in relation to other people. It helps us understand our relationships more with our friends, family, and loved ones.
