On March 29th, Juno, Jessie, Konrad, and I attended the Photograph Presentation and Exhibition.

This is an event that holds SCAD students who get interested in thinking and designing effectively for curated exhibitions and how to design and print photography.

The professor used the photography exhibit that is held at 640 Indian St to make some examples to let us know that the design of the photography exhibition is very important.

One of the most interesting points to me is that different print sizes need to be chosen for different themes and white frames are usually chosen, so that the design will make the photographs more integrated with the wall and bring a better experience to the viewers.

Lunch at River_Get a Meal

On March 29th, when Juno, Jessie, Konrad, and I finished the Photograph Presentation and Exhibit, we decided to go to River to have lunch. It was the first time to went to this campus and had lunch.

It was the same as Hive Cafe, but there were also some differences. Such as there is some Hot Chocolate Powder that students can drink. The system of ordering meals is more like SCAD Atlanta.

We were talking about some funny story from Norris Hall and visiting this apartment. I got many information about this new students' apartment and maybe I will go there and have lunch many times in the future.

English Language Conversation Group_ Library Workshop

On April 5, Lintong, Min, Jessie, Parya, and I went to Jen Library and attended English Language Conversation Group.

The students were divided into four groups, and each group worked individually on some activities to exercise English speaking. We started with some discussion on everyday topics, followed by some speaking practice on describing objects.

I think the best part of this activity was that I was asked to practice how to express myself confidently and fluently in front of a large number of people.

SCAD Club_ gym

On april 5, when Lintong, Min, Jessie, Parya, and I finished the English language Discussion Group, we went to SCAD Club to visit the biggest SCAD gym.

That was my first time to go to thie gym, I saw many different with Hive Fit. There have many machine that can let students to take some difficult exercise.

Have Lunch at O House_ Meal

After Lintong, Min, Jessie, Parya, and I finished the whole day's SCAD events, we went to O House to have lunch.

I think the cafeteria in O House is the same as Hive Cafe. I tried this cafeteria once, and I will never go to have twice.

SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival

On April 27, Min, Jessie, Lintong, Parya, and I went to Forsyth Park and join the SCAD Sidewalk Arts Festival. It was very awesome to visit many SCAD students's artwork. Also there is a big crowd which is hard to see in Savannah.

I saw a artwork that was combine SCAD Bee and the famous artwork Girl with a Pearl Earring. It was very funny and very vivid.

On May 14, Grace and I attend a SCADamp 120_ Discover your Voice. The coach let us use many different knid of ways to discover our voice and let us be confident in our presentation.

After this time learning, I think I can use more normal voice in my presentation which can reduce nervous I have when I have to do a presentation.

VOLVO Guest Speaker_ Held by my major

On April 5, Min and I atende a Service Design guest speaking. A service designer who is working with Volvo is introducing some design that relate to service design and user experience design.

As this event, I know more information abut how UX designer can work in a big company, and what real thing we need to do to design an item or an interface.
