         <title>Identification and Evaluation Process</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>~ Referral from teachers or parents can start the identification process.<br>~ An initial screening process will occur first. &nbsp;<br>~ Data will be gathered, including student performance indicators such as grades, portfolios, classroom tests scores and standardized test scores.&nbsp;<br>~ Additional data such as teacher observations will be used. &nbsp;<br>~ Outside educational evaluations will be considered.<br>~ Learning Motivation and Learning Style Inventories.<br>~ The school psychologist will complete a full evaluation, including full cognitive testing.&nbsp; Determination of giftedness will be determined by a range of assessments, not strictly on IQ level. &nbsp;<br>~ Creation of a gifted individual education plan (GIEP)<br>~ Determination by the school psychologist of multiple exceptionalities (a child that has both a disability and giftedness).<br><br></div>]]></description>
