After the Battle of Dien Bien Phu, the war became unpopular and many Americans thought they were losing. President Nixon withdrew American forces from Vietnam and soon started training the Vietnamese to defend themselves. This helped south Vietnam slow down the communist advance until 1975. However, congress voted to reduce aid to south Vietnam and that's when the communist north took over. This war was important because it affected America greatly. More than 50,000 soldiers died. And it lost ne hundred and forty-six billion dollars for paying this war. Because of this, the U.S isolated itself, which allowed communism to spread in many countries.

This war wa important because it was the first proxy warwhere the U.S and the Soviet Union got involved in a third country. At least 2.5 million people were killed. Neither of both sides actually won because North and South Korea signed an armitice treaty.

The Sovits wanted to take over the city so they blocked all the traffic through East Germany into West Berlin. This was an important crisis between the Soviets and U.S because if the Aliied went to deliver needed supplies to Berlin by road or trail, they would have to use military force. But if they let the blockade succeed, Berlin would starve and fall into the Soviet control. The Allies came with an idea that wouldn't cause any of those problems, for 11 months, the U.S and Britain delivered everything in a massive airlift. The Soviets backed dw when they saw they'd failed.

With this plan, he intended to double the production of steel and agricultural
products. To achieve this, he forced peasants to make steel without proper equipment or training, which made it bad and useless. The farm collectives didn't work either.
