I chose this picture as a part of my identity because music is one of my biggest passions, it is something I am considering to purse as a career. And I love concerts, this of one of my favourite concerts that I went to because I went with my mom and Harry Styles is one of my favourite artist.

My name is Mariana. My name has a latin, Hebrew and greek origin. It is very common in Mexico. In latin it is connected to the sea, it means "of the sea" and since there is a very similar name in Portuguese it has a few other meanings like beloved, star of the sea, bitterness and wished for child.

I like to be called just Mariana since I do not like being called either "Mari" or "Marianita", but some of my friends do call me "Mañaña".

When I was younger I did not love my name because I thought it was too basic, I still think it is a bit basic but it doesn't bother me anymore.

My mom named me Mariana, because since my dad chose my brother's name, she had the say of my name. In my mother's family almost everyone had their names somewhat connected to someone else's in the family and she did not like that, so she chose a name that wasn't taken yet. But she was in between Mariana and Isabella, in the end she chose Mariana, and she did not want to give two names because some people hate their second name, like my dad.

I like my name, because it has some very nice meanings. I'm grateful that my mom chose this name for me because I would not have liked being named exactly the same as anyone else in family, unless it was my mom. I'm not sure that my name builds up on my personality, but maybe my nick names do that part in my identity, since my friends gave me that nickname, it shows that I enjoy my friends's company and their affection.

I think everyone should be able to be true to themselves without feeling the judgment from anyone nor feeling like they are being labled. Putting stereotypes on someone is just limiting them to their living.

This song talks about being yourself and being proud of it no matter what, everything about everyone's identity makes every single one of us special. This song has shaped me into who I am because it educated me since very little to love and respect everyone for who they are and to learn to be myself.

This tradition has been carried out by my family ever since I can remember, we gather up in Halloween, everyone dressed up in a costume. We all cook different dishes and eat together, play boardgames, talk and watch movies. This tradition is important to us because we have been doing in for a long time now and it is always a memorable time for all of us. This makes me feel very happy because it is always nice to spend time with my family. We still do it every year and I think we plan to continue doing it.

The country that I went to on my exchange trip was France. I mainly stayed in Cannes but I also visited multiple cities of France. Something that has influenced Cannes over history is the Film festival that has been done every year since 1946. This has caused for Cannes to be a very glamorous and touristic city. Cannes being very exclusive and fancy is still very noticeable to this day. This is a great element added not only their culture but it has also built up on other's cultures. I knew about the Cannes Film Festival before I went on my exchange trip and that was one of the reasons I wanted to visit Cannes.

1994 was a year which had multiple events that has shaped our country. Starting with Colosio's murder, "Los Zapatistas", the presidency of Zedillo which eventualy led to the transition of elections, FTA, economic crisis due to the policies of Carlos Salinas de Gortari, the murder of Ruiz Massieu, the rise of three left wing political characters (Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, Cuauhtémoc Cardenas and el Subcomandante Marcos), the last term of the PRI before 2012 elections. All of these events have an impact on today's social and political context.

I think multiculturalism is an amazing way to make everyone come together and to understand each other better. I do believe that there will be a time when multicultural societies become the norm because even now there are people from all around the living together in different parts of the world.

The feeling that I. get when I think of the word "HOME" is a warm and cozy feeling, and that comes to mind because whenever I think of home I think of my family and friends, not necessarily of an specific place. An object that I think about when I think of home is the living room of my house. Since I have lived in different places throughout my life I think of Querétaro as my hometown but since I have had some of the best experiences in other countries I have a multicultural perspective of home.

At the moment I don't think I live in a completely multicultural society, but in the past when lived in Holland and Dubai I was living in a multicultural society since both school that I was studying at were international and there were students from all around the world. I don't think that Querétaro promotes to be a multicultural city but little by little it has been turning into a multicultural city because of all the different nationalities that have moved to Querétaro. TEC is an institution that promotes multiculturalism but I don't think that it is as multicultural as the make it seem. Something that we often do that cause cultural, spacial and institutional exclusion are jokes.

If I were to design a toy that described me, to start I would make it eco friendly, because the production of multiple toys cause a lot of damage to earth. If I were to make this toy I would make it without any stereotypes for this toy to be suitable for anyone who wants it. I would make this toy similar to Play Dough because you can make it be anything you want. I would like this toy to tell children that they can be anything they want.
