This links to the colouring of the text as the black is contrasting with the yellow background, meaning the main attention is drawn to the text. The yellow background links to the minions in Despicable Me, which is the reason why the song was created as it's included on the soundtrack of the film. Also, the longest cut is at 2.02 minutes where the choir and Pharrell dance with the build up of the song and exaggerate their movements when the song kicks in again. Cross cutting has been used throughout the video where it cuts from the public's performances and Pharrell's lip syncing in the alley.
