Montag  then left his house and went to the subway and got onto the subway carrying a book. He takes the book to Faber's house to get help. After coming up with a plan Montag leaves Faber's house and goes home.The next day, Montag goes back to the fire station and gets welcomed by Beatty.

At the beginning of the story, he explains how much of a pleasure it is to burn books, but when he met Clarisse, he started to actually think what he felt. He started to actually see the value in books and what knowledge they held. He got so into books, that he contacted an old professor he knew to teach him more about the books why he didn't do anything to fight against this censorship they have in society.
