Mr. Garvy completed his bachelor’s degree in European history at Northwestern University in 1983, and joined Vegetable Juices, Inc., the same year. Over a 25-year span he held diverse positions with the natural vegetable flavoring manufacturer, including Director of Purchasing, Vice President of Sales, President, and finally Chief Executive Officer.

In 2009 he established LifeSpice Ingredients. LifeSpice is a culinary focused seasoning company with operations in the US, Brazil, and New Zealand. The Company’s innovative approach creates craveable seasoning blends thru collaboration of the customer and LifeSpice's Marketing experts, Food Scientists, and Culinary Chefs.

In 2022, LifeSpice opened a new Culinary Center in the River North neighborhood of Chicago. The new Culinary Center allows LifeSpice’s Chefs and Food Scientists to work closely together with customers at the development bench to develop and create craveable seasonings in a time efficient manner.

Peter D. Garvy resides in Palm Beach, Florida, with his wife, and is the owner of two golden retrievers.
