         <title>SCHOOL CONTEXT AND INTRODUCTION</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>We are three teachers from  INSTITUT TURÓ D'EN BALDIRI in the municipality of Teià. We teach  Maths, Physical Education and English. This is our second year in GEP, so we are teaching our subjects in English. <br>This year we have prepared an interdisciplinary  project addressed to 2nd of ESO students and it has taken the forseen nine sessions to be fully developed. <br>The objective of the project is mainly to discover Pythagoras as a mathematician in the Ancient Greece  as well as an athlete in the Ancient Olympic Games. This is how the three subjects join together to lead students to the creation of their final product: a summarizing design to leave a print of Pythagoras on the school playground wall.<br> </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After having implemented our nine session project and reflected on it as the three 2nd of ESO students’ guiding teachers, we have come to one main conclusion: CLIL is the way. </div><div>Although not always easily, students have progressively succeeded in joining together the subject content knowledge dealt with and their English linguistic domain. Their success has been reached by working, practising and studying through new means of learning, all aimed at allowing them to become skilled or more skilled. </div><div>However, it takes time to make them come to terms with new teaching and learning resources and methodologies. In fact, they often wonder if these can guarantee their acquaintance of the objectives that the curriculum LOMCE has set for them to obtain. We know  changes may cause doubt and uncertainty and CLIL methodology certainly does, especially among students and their families. </div><div>Sooner or later and being a 21st century digital generation, students tend to embrace innovative and engaging teaching and learning resources that provide them with new knowledge and abilities in a more practical manner, and these 21st century skills are and will be of enduring use to them in their present and in their future. </div><div>The moment students accept the foreign language as being accessible and not threatening, the instant English becomes the vehicle students get involved with to access content, then, language and subject content get together and one without the other cannot do. In the school and home works of students of all academic levels  both linguistic and content subjects are enriched.</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
