         <title>WHAT IS THE CURRENT FRAMEWORK?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>The new PISA report tells us that students who use computers very frequently at school do a lot worse in most learning outcomes - Students who use computers moderately at school tend to have better learning outcomes than students who do so rarely -&gt; THERE'S ALWAYS A MIDDLE WAY!!!</li><li>The OECD report concludes schools haven’t yet become good enough at these kind of pedagogies that make the most of technology; 21st-Century technologies PLUS 20th-Century teaching practices = NO improvation in the effectiveness of teaching.</li><li>the European DIGCOMP framework for developing and understanding digital competence in Europe lists 5 headings:</li></ul><ol><ol><li>inspire learning and creativity;&nbsp;</li><li>design and develop experiences and assessments;</li><li>model digital age work and learning;&nbsp;</li><li>promote and model digital citizenship and responsibility;&nbsp;</li><li>engage in professional growth and leadership</li></ol></ol><ul><li>UNESCO’s ICT Competency Framework for teachers:  it is not enough to have ICT competencies and be able to teach them to students. The Framework is arranged in three successive stages of a teacher’s development:</li></ul><span style="font-size: 13px;"><ol><ol><li><span style="font-size: 13px;">Technology Literacy, enabling students to use ICT in order </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">to learn more efficiently;&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 13px;">Knowledge Deepening, enabling students to </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">acquire in-depth knowledge of their school subjects and apply it to complex, realworld </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">problems;&nbsp;</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 13px;">Knowledge Creation, enabling students, citizens and the </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">workforce they become, to create the new knowledge required for more fulfilling and </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">prosperous societies.</span></li></ol></ol></span>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I think the self reflection questions listed in the video are illuminating! Very often, the use of technology in classroom depends on the willing of be "modern", but doesn't offers an added value to the lesson. The use of technology remains a single moment during the day, not integrated with the rest of the lesson ... ICT are used too often to view a final product, without creativity. </p><p>I think this course will help educators so much, teaching us good practise in TET and also helping us to evalute our works</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p><i>A few things about me</i></p><p>Hi everybody! My name is Sara, I'm 33 years old and I live in Milan (Italy).&nbsp;</p><p>On my ID card, in the <i>profession</i> field, someone wrote <b>MEDIA EDUCATOR</b> :-) but in the real world I'm doing a lot of different things, always concearning new media and education.</p><p>With an old good friend of mine (and also a very very talented and professional collegue), I'm giving birth in this days to a project of Media Education Courses for schoolers and teachers, called <b>ATELIER DIGITALE, </b>based on the idea of letting people "touch with hands" in some workshops how digital works, using traditional and new media, videogames, coding and much more ... stay tuned!</p><p><span style="font-size: 13px;">I joined this course to learn new things, share opinions and experiences and -why not?- virtual meet or collaborate with other people.</span></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The current framework is really clear: we always have to choose quality, not quantity. Usings frequntly ICTs in classroom doesn't mean improving effectiveness and quality of teaching. </p><p>I'm really pleased to see a lot of Italian teachers in this course and in the course "Developing digital skills in classtoom" ... it's a clear signal that digital education in our country can became better and better :-)</p>]]></description>
