Hi everybody! My name is Sara, I'm 33 years old and I live in Milan (Italy). 

On my ID card, in the profession field, someone wrote MEDIA EDUCATOR :-) but in the real world I'm doing a lot of different things, always concearning new media and education.

With an old good friend of mine (and also a very very talented and professional collegue), I'm giving birth in this days to a project of Media Education Courses for schoolers and teachers, called ATELIER DIGITALE, based on the idea of letting people "touch with hands" in some workshops how digital works, using traditional and new media, videogames, coding and much more ... stay tuned!

I joined this course to learn new things, share opinions and experiences and -why not?- virtual meet or collaborate with other people.

This course, which is the first in the MENTEP MOOC series on improving Technology-Enhanced Teaching, is an integral part of the project. The MENTEP MOOC series will support the project’s goals to:

- Boost teachers’ competence and confidence to use ICT in the classroom
- Increase the number of teachers able to innovate using ICT
- Enhance the uptake of ICT in teaching and learning
- Strengthen the professional profile of the teaching profession
- Improve data on teachers’ digital competence and training needs
- Promote stronger coherence between EU and national approaches to the assessment of Technology-Enhanced Teaching competence

The learning objectives for this module are:

1. Understand that Technology-enhanced Teaching is a new and not fixed but constantly evolving area, in which frameworks do exist but are of limited value. Appreciate that through teachers’ practice and self and peer-assessment we can better understand this evolving area.

2. Appreciate how games-based learning, games design, a programming tool and an Interactive Whiteboard can be effectively used for Technology-enhanced Teaching in different subject areas and with varying age groups.

3. Create a personal Learning Diary to log learning activities, reflections and resources from the course.

4. Upload evidence of Technology-enhanced Teaching and reflect on it critically and constructively.

I'm really pleased to see a lot of Italian teachers in this course and in the course "Developing digital skills in classtoom" ... it's a clear signal that digital education in our country can became better and better :-)
