Multi factor authentication (MFA) strengthens logins by requiring two or more verification factors. There are many types of MFA such as hard tokens, soft tokens, biometrics, and passwords. Organizations can leverage MFA by enforcing it for all users, offering a variety of factors beyond SMS, and educating users. Biometrics offer convenience and security but raise privacy concerns about data storage and potential misuse. To balance security with privacy, organizations should be transparent about data usage, offer opt-in options, and prioritize strong data security measures.
